The trifecta is complete December 31, 2010 / Tobias Becker / 2 Comments If you haven’t watched these, I highly recommend. It leans a little crasser than my sense of humor usually does, but in this case I think it’s deserved. When I posted I had only watched about five minutes. I’ve gotten further into than that, and I think the non-critique parts of the video are unnecessarily crass (I actually diverted my eyes in a couple of parts) and his points could be condensed into a video that is 30 minutes rather than 90. So he succumbs to some of his own criticism as well. I do think it’s a mini-education on what makes good filmmaking, and maybe he thought he needed the salicious (crumb) parts to make the educational aspects more appealing, I don’t know. He didn’t and it would be a lot more effective without. Sorry to give my stamp of approval for something crasser than I realized. I worried about that as I finished watching Part 1.
