I’ve had three phases of my life in relationship to Peanuts.
- Elementary School Years, I checked out as many Peanuts books as possible and devoured them
- Adolescence and Early Adulthood, I didn’t really get the Peanuts and thought they were childish artifact
- Adulthood, I have a new appreciation for the Peanuts
One thing that has helped my appreciation of comic strips are projects like this, and I’ve got a few more to share in the upcoming days.
Interesting about the despair. I think there may be a fair amount of that in Calvin Hobbes too.
