YouTube Friday — Giovanni Sollima (Part I and II)

Best stuff I’ve ever posted (outside of Charlie the Unicorn of course). DO NOT miss this work by 22-year-old director Lasse Gjertsen.

YouTube Friday — Tony vs. Paul

Do you guys know how much crap I have to watch to find something decent to post every Friday? YouTube is especially rife with bad stop motion animation. Today I present some of the good stuff. Both of these are pretty simple yet clever and well executed.

YouTube Friday — Cabaret Mechanical Theatre

If I had no fiscal responsibility I would have bought an airplane ticket to London to see this show at Kinetica last month.   But I do.  So I didn’t. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to watch this video about a dozen more times.

YouTube Friday — Doll Face

An followup to last week’s Jan Svankmajer short with concurrent themes.

YouTube Friday — Darkness/Light/Darkness

Brilliant work from Jan Svankmajer. This is long (over seven minutes) but stay with it. He is a master. I highly recommend his movies.

YouTube Friday — First!

Do I feel ashamed of myself? Defiantly. I’m I doing Satan’s work? Yes. I think y’all could learn something from this guy. (Watch out kiddies, we got a little “language” here.)

YouTube Friday: Hometown Baghdad

“Forbidden Salad” is episode 3 of 45 in the online series, Hometown Baghdad. You can see other episodes at the Hometown Baghdad site.
