Very great to have this post. A sleeker version than last week’s, but interesting how they both are confrontations with the self as a built or constructed thing. Interesting how Svankmajer seems to suggest we’re self-created in some way, and then here with “Dollface,” how we’re created by television. In both cases, we’re imprisoned or destroyed by what creates us.
